Oxford, UK

Situated in Oxford’s famous High district this hotel offers great views of Oxford’s landmarks from almost all of its 43 bedrooms, and was named as ‘the place to stay in Oxford’ in the Sunday Times Top 100 British hotels. Our brief was to add to and improve the small library they already had as part of their wider development.

We decided to keep 15% of the books already there and reformulate the library around them by adding titles on Oxford, celebrated literary classics, art and history. The categories of books we selected for the hotel was art, food, wine, health, travel, fashion, nature, anthropology, and photography. We also included a 3 metre collection of orange Penguin classics and a kids section, comprised of 50 new kids titles for a range of ages that would both engage and inspire.
